iPhone widget · long distance
The countdown to seeing each other.
In a long-distance relationship there is one number that matters more than the rest, and it's the number of days until you're in the same room. Twin Draw's Until we meet widget keeps it on your home screen so you watch it fall without opening anything.
iOS 17 or later · no streaks, no subscription
One date, both home screens
You both set the same reunion date in the app, and the widget counts down to it on each of your home screens. When the date changes — flights move — you change it once and both widgets follow.
There is no streak attached to it and no notification nagging you about it. It is a number you chose to look at, sitting where you'll see it.
And the rest of the distance, too
The countdown comes with Twin Draw rather than on its own. The app's main feature is a shared drawing canvas that appears on both of your home screens, and alongside the countdown there are three more widgets: your partner's local time with a sleep indicator, how many days you've been together, and the distance between your two cities.
All of it is free, with no subscription and no advertising in the app.
What it doesn't do
It counts down to one date — the next time you'll be together — not to an arbitrary list of events. If you want countdowns to several unrelated dates, a general-purpose countdown app will serve you better. It needs both of you to have the app and be paired, on an iPhone running iOS 17 or later, and the app's interface is English-only for now.
Questions
Is there a widget that counts down to seeing your partner?
Yes. Twin Draw's Until we meet widget counts down to a reunion date you both set, and sits on each of your iPhone home screens so you see the number fall without opening the app. It is free and requires iOS 17 or later.
Can we both see the same countdown?
Yes. The reunion date is shared between the two paired accounts, so the same number appears on both home screens. If the date changes, either of you can update it once and both widgets follow.
Does the countdown send notifications or keep a streak?
No. There is no streak attached to the countdown and no reminder notification about it. It simply shows the number on your home screen.
What else does the app do?
Twin Draw's main feature is a shared drawing canvas for two people that appears on both home screens. Alongside the reunion countdown it also offers widgets for your partner's local time with a sleep indicator, the days you've been together, and the distance between your two cities.
